George W. Bush on TODAY

Former President George W. Bush appeared on TODAY to promote his book Portrait of Courage.

I consider the media to be indispensible to democracy. That… we need an independent media to hold people like me to account. Power can be very addictive. And it can be corrosive. And it’s important for the media to call to account people who abuse abuse their power.

I think it’s very important for all of us to recognize one of our great strengths is for people to be able to worship the way they want to. Or not worship at all. The bedrock of our freedom… a bedrock of our freedom is the right to worship freely.

—George W. Bush

Also worth watching on a lighter note, President George W. Bush joins his daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, on TODAY. Great story about meeting his dad in the Oval Office after being sworn in the first time.

What I’m watching —

I’m watching ALIENS for the nth time in honor of Bill Paxton, who passed away Februrary 25, 2017. “Game over man. Game over.”

What I’m eyeing —

The reviews of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are glowing.
