Porting Retro City Rampage to MS-DOS

A fascinating talk by Brian Provinciano at GCD 2016 on how he ported Retro City Rampage to MS-DOS.

Be sure to check out the retail box version for MS-DOS which includes the game on a 3.5" floppy disk.

Weekly Quote

Success is never final and failure never fatal. It’s courage that counts.

This quote is often misattributed to Winston Churchill but per Quote Investigator, there’s no record he ever said it. In fact, the earliest match is a Budweiser ad from 1938.

… success was never final and failure never fatal. It was courage that counted.

—Budweiser newspaper ad ran in 1938

Misc

What I’m watching —

My daughter and I went to the theater to watch Hidden Figures (Wikipedia IMDB Amazon). Excellent film.

I also watched Wayne’s World (Wikipedia IMDB Amazon) at the theater where it was shown in celebration of its 25th birthday. Still great all these years later.
