The Five-Minute Journal
I just finished 30 consecutive days of writing in The Five-Minute Journal (Amazon) as part of a larger journaling experiment.
The Five-Minute Journal is what I call a prescriptive journal, meaning it provides a structure that prompts what to write about.
Coincidentally at the same time I finished my 30-day experiment, The Five-Minute Journal app was released. I transitioned to using the app on day 31 and will continue to do so for the immediate future.
I’m working on a writeup.
Minimalism: A Documentary About The Important Things
I’m looking forward to watching this documentary but it’s in limited release. The filmmakers are encouraging individuals to host a screening at their local theater via GATHR Films. So I’m hosting a screening at the Marcus Lincoln Grand Cinema in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 25, 2016 at 7:30 PM. Here’s the deal though: the film will only be shown if a minimum threshold of tickets are prepurchased. If you live in or around Lincoln help make that happen by reserving a ticket.
How might your life be better with less? Minimalism is a lifestyle that helps people question what things add value to their lives—clearing the clutter from life’s path so we can make room for the most important things.
Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things examines the many flavors of minimalism by taking the audience inside the lives of minimalists from all walks of life.
The film’s official release date is May 24, 2016.
Watch the trailer and find out more over at minimalismfilm.com.
