Better late than never, I ran across this amazing cartoon from May 2009 by Stuart McMillen titled Amusing Ourselves to Death comparing George Orwell’s vision of the future in 1984 to Aldous Huxley’s vision from Brave New World.

Here’s my take. While Orwell assumed The Man who be the downfall of society, Huxley assumed it would be ourselves, thanks to “man’s almost endless appetite for distractions.”

It’s a must see piece by McMillen.
