I love cars. So they are often a topic of conversation for me. A co-worker of mine recently posed this question to me: how would you spend $100k on cars? Very good question, that the more I analyze the harder it is to come up with an answer. While I don’t have an answer at the moment, I threw together a quick list of cars that have to whatever degree, crossed my radar. Keep in mind I’m purposely all over the map because I want different driving experiences, not the same. Prices are very much ballparks.
- 2001-2003 E39 M5, 60k miles or less ($30k-$40k)
- Dinan S2 package ($30k, not sure if that includes installation or not)
- 2004+ Toyota Prius ($25k)
- 1991 BMW E30 M3 ($15k-$25k)
- 1987 Audi 4000CS Quattro, pristine ($5k)
- 1974-1976 BMW 2002, very nice ($10k)
- New Toyota Tacoma, for that truck thing ($40k, just a guess here, I didn’t look it up)
- 2006+ Honda Ridgeline ($25k-$40k)
- Mid 60s Lincoln Continental, think The Matrix ($10k)
- I’d want to do some modernizing here, figure double the figure at least for modern engine and suspension
- 1997+ Acura NSX ($40k-$50k)
I’m going to have to create a page that lists cars I’d like. I’ll getting around to filling out the list more and then prioritizing it.

My Dad apparently wanted a BMW 2002 back when he was younger – they’re good-looking cars.
